By sawing through the oak tree perpendicular to the log’s growth rings produces this very attractive linear grain pattern.  Rift sawn lumber is very dimensionally stable and has a unique refined appearance.  This select offering requires a generous lead time as sourcing wider plank boards without defect takes several months to accumulate.
